Description

The Yildiz Palace Museum is situated on the outskirts of Istanbul, by the sea, in the Besiktas District. The oldest structures date back to the 16th century, when the land was mainly used as a royalty hunting lodge. In the late 1800s, the carpentry workshop section of the palace was turned into a museum. Well preserved furniture, thrones, wood carvings and porcelain artwork made in the workshop of the palace are included in the museum. The estate is also home to a park where you can wander outside.
