On the island of Phuket, Wat Chalong is one of 29 Buddhist temples. It is dedicated to two abbots who assisted during the 19th century Tin Miner's Revolt. Within the monastery, statues of abbots are draped in gold leaf. In big numbers, Thai tourists visit here to make choices or earn lucky numbers.
