Cultural-Historical
Ujung Water Palace is the old Karangasem King's palace in Bali. A mixture of Balinese and European architecture is featured in the park. Following the 1963 eruption of nearby Mount Agung, the site was virtually destroyed. It was then rocked by an earthquake in 1979, but it has been returned to its former glory by several reconstruction attempts. Both locals and tourists continue to be drawn, who come to wonder at the flamboyant architecture and breathtaking views.
