Description

A circular plaza with a "Granite Sea" map of the globe is the outdoor US Navy Memorial. The Sole Soldier's eye-catching statue depicts any man and woman who has served in the Navy or in other maritime services. The Naval Heritage Centre, a pseudo-museum designed to educate the public on the Navy's mission and history, is adjacent to the Monument.
