Description

In 537 AD, the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees was originally designed to act as a shrine for India's Buddhist relics. The bulk of the buildings that are standing still date back to the 11th century.With some of the largest and oldest Buddha statues in the province located within the main temple hall, the temple remains an active Zen Buddhist place of worship. One of the most famous and familiar attractions is the 17-level flowering pagoda.
