Cultural-Historical, Movie-Theater
For an international audience, Taipei Eye takes traditional Chinese opera and distills it down to make it more palatable. Performances include aboriginal dance, folk opera and acrobatics. Some Chinese opera performances go on for a whole day, but it only takes an evening to visit the Taipei Eye. The original hall was demolished after World War II, but the tradition was kept on by the son of the man who built it.
