Cultural-Historical, Temple-Tomb
In 1930, the Taipei Confucius Temple was built. It was initially constructed under the Qing Dynasty, but was eventually destroyed during the occupation of Japan. During World War II, the temple was briefly used as a Shinto shrine until Taiwan was given back to the government of the Republic of China in 1945.
