Description

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is an Australian heritage-listed steel bridge that carries rail, auto, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic between the Sydney Central Business District (CBD) and the North Shore via the arch bridge across Sydney Harbour. The view of the bridge, the harbour, and the nearby Sydney Opera House is widely regarded as Sydney's and Australia's own iconic image. Because of its arch-based architecture, the bridge is called The Coathanger.
