St. Petersburg's Stroganov Palace was built in the late 18th century by the Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli. The palace is one of St. Petersburg's oldest aristocratic houses. The collection of the State Russian Museum is stored in it and some rooms are open to the public. Restored in 2005, the Mineral Analysis is considered a masterpiece of 18th-century Russian architecture.
