Description

The Christ the Redeemer Statue was unveiled in 1931, and is the world's largest art deco statue. It is 130 feet (39m) wide and 98 ft (30m) across in the arms. The statue sits 700 meters (2,300 feet) above the town at the peak of Corcovado. In 2007, it was voted one of the World's Latest Seven Wonders.
