Description

Established during the earliest days of colonization (1820) on land given to the Catholic Church, the original church was almost completely destroyed by fire and later reconstructed in its current form. Considered to be one of the world's finest examples of an English-style Gothic Cathedral. The Cathedral's local sandstone interior and façade, its exquisite stained glass windows, are most notable (especially the three rose windows at the entrance and the huge chancel window)
