Cultural-Historical, Religious
One of the city's most prominent landmarks is St Mary's Basilica in Krakow. It was constructed in 1320 after the original was demolished in the 13th century by the attack of the Tartars. The northern tower was elevated to 80 meters (263 feet) and became the watchtower of the city. With a star-spangled blue roof and stained-glass windows that shaft sunshine through floor shapes, the interior is uniquely furnished.
