Description

St John's Cathedral was built in the 14th century and is one of the oldest churches in all of Poland. During World War II, it was destroyed, but was repaired after the war. The cathedral also contains the tombs of many Mazowian dukes, in addition to being the site of many historical events. The crypt is the resting place of many famous Poles, such as Henryk Sienklewicz, the poet.
