A 58-acre (23-hectare) strip of grassland in central London is St Jamess Park. The annual Trooping the Color military parade is hosted by the Horse Guards Park Parade. A floodlit spectacular featuring marching bands from the Cavalry and Foot Guard regiments is The Pounding Escape. The park is a common location to observe the regular ritual of the Changing of the Guard.
