The Church of St James, also called the Church of the Skinners, is one of the oldest churches in Delhi. It is named after the British-Indian colonel who commissioned the church, James Skinner. Construction started in 1826 on the church building and the church was consecrated in 1836. It features several Renaissance Revival architectural elements, including an octagonal dome at its middle.
