Description

The largest section of the Dandenong Ranges National Park is Melbourne's Sherbrooke Woodland. Mountain Ash, the world's tallest flowering plant, and tree ferns dominate it. The forest is home to a common lyrebird that can imitate dozens of other birds. The 2.4-km round trip through the avenues of Mountain Ash to Sher Brooke Falls is one of the most popular trails. There are also plenty of birds to feed in the tea room, including parrots and rosellas, next to the picnic grounds.
