The Shantadurga Temple is devoted to the goddess of peace, Shree Shantadurga. Once upon a time, a small mud shrine of the goddess stood on the site, which was then turned into a temple in 1738. The temple is architecturally a synthesis of Indo-Portuguese designs. There is a main temple and three smaller temples which are constructed around it for other deities.
