Cultural-Historical, Temple-Tomb
The Town God's Shanghai Temple is an orthodox Taoist temple dedicated to three local deities or gods of the city. There is a temple of the Town of God in almost every city in China, and Shanghai dates back to 1403. It was converted during the Ming Dynasty into a City God Temple in 1403. The temple was restored in the 1990s and its renovations held true to the beginnings of the fifteenth century buildings again in 2005.
