As a dedication to the 12th century English king and leader of the Third Crusade, Richard's Castle was built. A homage to another almost similar structure in St Petersburg is the neo-Gothic-style of architecture. Since 1912, locals have dubbed the castle the "Haunted House" and it is believed that the sounds of screaming ghosts are still heard at night. It is rumoured that the castle is haunted.
