Cultural-Historical
Just north of Moscow's fabled Red Square in the Tverskoy District lies the large, open spaces of Revolution Square. The two are linked by the Resurrection Gate's twin spires, first installed in 1535 and rebuilt in 1945. This was originally the residence of the governing Duma, which was dissolved after the Revolution, built in the Russian Revivalist style in 1890.
