Description

It was built in 1898 in the High Victorian Romanesque style and stands on the site of the original markets of Sydney. On the outside, the QVB's towering central dome features transparent stained glass clad in copper. Tailors and florists were initially included in the shops; today there is a wide variety of specialty outlets, from stationers to couturiers.
