The Propylaea is an ancient gateway which leads to the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. It is made of the same marble as was used in the Parthenon construction. Two large buildings and a smaller one in the middle make up the gateway. It was built between 438 and 432 BC and appears like a temple with Doric columns on the front.
