Description

The Powder Tower dates from the 11th century, when it was one of the 13 entrances to the Old Town of Prague. It was initially called the Current House, but in the 17th century, its name was changed. The tower is 213 feet high, and at 144 feet, accessible by 186 steps, there is a viewing platform. The two surviving pieces of Prague's former castle are the Powder Tower and the Old Town Bridge Tower.
