Description

Plaza de la Villa, or Square of the Town Hall, is a small medieval square lined with some of the oldest buildings in Madrid. The Casa de la is the centerpiece of the ancient plaza. Villa, which was used until recently as the Town Hall of Madrid and once housed a 17th-century jail. A series of 17th century frescoes by Antonio Palomino masks the true highlights in the interiors.
