Description

Plaza de Francia honors those who served on the Panama Canal and sacrificed their life for it. The square's main landmark, designed in 1921 by Leonardo Villanueva Meyer, is a 60-foot obelisk. The Embassy of France and Esteban Huertas Promenade are nearby. The plaza provides a stunning view of the Bay of Panama, the Bridge of the Americas and the Causeway of Amador.
