Description

In the year 116 C.E., a statue of the same name was built atop the hill. Gaius Julius Antiochus Epiphanes Philopappos, the Roman consul and senator. In Athens, having lived there for many years, he was a strong and valued man. Today, the memorial is a partial ruin, but elements of his life can still be seen etched into the stone.
