The Cathedral of Peter and Paul is an orthodox cathedral and Russian emperors' burial site dating as far back as Peter the Great. It is considered one of the world's tallest Orthodox cathedrals and one of the Baroque era's most impressive accomplishments. One of St. Petersburg's most significant icons, the golden spire, is also atop the cathedral, sitting 404 feet (123 m) above ground level.
