Cultural-Historical, Monument
The Pentagon Memorial remembers the 184 persons who died in the assault on the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. 184 lit benches and reflection pools make up the memorial. Every bench, as well as a neighboring granite stone, bears an actual victim's name and age. Three were the youngest killed, 71 were the oldest, and most of the 59 killed on Flight 77 were family members.
