Cultural-Historical
As the royal residence of Otto, the first king of newly independent Greece, the Parliament Building was completed in 1842. The German architect Friedrich von Grtner designed the large and very extreme Neoclassical palace. It was not until 1932, eight years after the dissolution in 1924 of the Greek empire, that Parliament moved into the magnificent building of Von Grtner.
