Cultural-Historical, Sports venue, Stadium
For the 566 B.C.E., the Panathenaic Stadium was designed. The setting for the first modern Olympic games in 1896 was Panathinaiko Stadium. The stadium was constructed on the ruins of a B.S.C.-era stadium in the 4th century. In 329 B.E., it was redone in marble, and in 1869, the entire site was excavated and restored. The stadium currently holds around 45,000 spectators.
