The tallest building in Poland is the Palace of Culture and Technology. As a present to Poland from the Soviet people and Joseph Stalin himself, it was finished in 1955. On its 42 floors, the building has over 3,000 rooms and is home to the Polish Academy of Sciences. The Congress Hall and Concert Hall are considered to be the country's most significant of their kind.
