Nature, Park
In 1959, Delhi Zoo opened its door, changing its name to Delhi National Zoological Park in 1982. The zoo is spread over more than 170 acres and is home to nearly 130 animal species. In captivity, it aims to breed a variety of endangered species, with the intention of ultimately getting them back into the wild.
