Cultural-Historical, Monument
In the Plantage district of Amsterdam, the Hollandsche Schouwburg is a Jewish war memorial. The building was built in 1892 and was used for several years as a theatre. The theater was a deportation site during the German occupation of Amsterdam in 1942-1943. Before being sent to Dutch transit camps and death camps, Jews from Amsterdam and the nearby areas were held there.
