Nature, Park
Queen Amalia commissioned the National Gardens of Athens in 1838. The gardens are home to more than 500 plant and animal species. Busts of Greek poets, gods and political personalities dot the scenery. The gardens are a scenic diversion from the madness of Athens near the Olympic stadium.
