Description

One of Europe's leading museums devoted to traditional arts and customs is the Museum of the Romanian Peasant. In 1996, it was appointed the European Museum of the Year and boasts a collection of over 100,000 items. The museum was initially established in 1906, but the building later housed a Communist Party museum during Communist times.
