Description

Within the walls of a magnificent 1788 house, the former residence of Gov. Arthur Phillip, is the Museum of Sydney. Archaeological findings, utensils from the Aborigines' daily lives and the first settlers are seen in the collection. The history of the former penal colony is brought alive by interactive presentations and computer animations. The museum also takes a critical look at the collision between cultures between the Ab Heritage and immigrants from Europe.
