Description

The Museum of Ethnology houses collections of products which were produced outside Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries and then brought to Berlin. In order to provide perspectives into non-European cultures, the collections are broken into regional regions and grouped thematically.Fostering global awareness and moving beyond the Eurocentric outlook is an important aspect of the museum's mission. The holdings of the museum contain items that date back as far as 2000 BC.
