To celebrate the 100th birthday of the painters, the Munch Museum first opened its doors in 1963. It consists of 1,200 portraits, 4,500 sketches, 18,000 prints, 6 sculptures, watercolors, and graphics. The museum also features less traditional artwork by Munch, including lithographic stones, etchings, and woodcut plates.
