One of Mumbai's most ancient temples is Mumbadevi Temple. It is believed that it was built in 1675. On the altar, the eight-armed Hindu goddess is the deity from which Mumbai derives its name. The temple is surrounded by the busy bazaars of the Bhuleshwar district of South Mumbai. Zaveri Bazaar is a wonderful spot where the gods will buy incense, saffron, and sculptures.
