Description

Mt Batukaru is Bali's second highest mountain. The extinct volcano is largely isolated and cloaked in rain forests. On the trail, a small number of trekkers are allowed to trek. The biggest crater on the island lies at the peak of the mountain, with a temple at the foot. There are deer, ant eaters, butterflies, macaques and Asian palm civets lining the trail.
