Cultural-Historical, Museum
One of the main aviation museums in Russia is the Monino Central Air Force Museum. More than 170 aircraft and over 120 aircraft engines are displayed in the museum. The most remarkable of all is arguably the Ilya Muromets, the 20th century's biggest plane. During Soviet times, it was off limits to civilians and, until 2006, advance permission was required for non-Russians to visit.
