Cultural-Historical, Monument, Museum
To honor Soviet space accomplishments, the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics was opened in 1981. The first jet engine, the lunar rover Lunokhod and the first Soviet spacecraft are amongst the 85,000 objects in the museum. With new exhibits on international space programmes, including the International Space Station, the museum re-opened in 2009.
