Cultural-Historical, Religious
The Church of Matthias dates back to King Matthias I, who in 1474 married Beatrice of Naples here. It was here, in 1867, that the Coronation Mass by Franz Liszt was first performed. You'll find rich frescoes inside the church and a famed statue of the Madonna. It is said that the Virgin rescued Castle Hill from the Turkish attack when her face was visible.
