Man Mo Temple is the most prominent temple in Hong Kong, devoted to literature and war gods. The temple was first built in 1847 and is named for the god of literature, Man Chung. Statues of the Chinese god of war, Kwan Yu, surround the Main Change. A large proportion of devotees who come for divine assistance are students.
