In the south of France, Saintes-Maries is the capital of the Camargue region. It was made famous by the imposing Saintes Maries de la Mer Church. The town is a literary and cultural refuge dear to Hemingway and Picasso's likes. Everybody has seen it, from the Romans to the Vikings, from Van Gogh to Bob Dylan.
