Description

The northwestern tip of the sprawling Main Island of Hawaii is Kohala. Built by a volcano of 5,400 ft. that last erupted more than 120,000 years ago. The land area constitutes just 6% of the total islands, but it may also take weeks to visit them in their entirety. The resort enclaves of Waikoloa and Mauna Lani are common to most South Kohala tourists.
