Description

In Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the Kanheri Caves are a cluster of 109 stone caves. For over 1,000 years, Buddhist monks stayed, learned, meditated and practiced their faith in the caves. Chaitya Cave, full of ancient stone carvings of Buddhist deities, is the most famous chamber to visit. Exotic birds, butterflies, and wild leopards, as well as wild leopards, are also in the park.
