Description

In the Swiss Alps, Jungfraujoch is a saddle between the Monch and Jungfrau ranges. It is referred to as the Peak of Europe and is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Great Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in Europe - 14 miles (23km) - starts at the saddle. A global atmospheric control station for the atmosphere is on top of the Jungfrrau.
