Description

Jogyesa Temple is Seoul's only main temple and the center of Korea's Zen Buddhism. The temple was founded in 1910, but it was not until 1938 that the main shrine was completed. Daeungjeon is Seoul's main Buddhist temple. Every June, the temple holds a celebration of Buddha's birthday, also called the Lotus Lantern Festival.
