Cultural-Historical, Museum
Amsterdam is the first dedicated Jewish museum in the Netherlands. In the 1930s, the Joods Historisch Museum opened and was shut down during the WWII Nazi occupation. The three permanent exhibits are supplemented by a large array of artwork, short movies and photography. The new site of the museum extends over the four Ashkenazi synagogues of Jonas Dani'l Meijerplein in the 17th century buildings.
